2016 Q2 – Esquimalt
It is my pleasure to offer this quarterly report on the initiatives that the Victoria Police Department has undertaken in the Township of Esquimalt in the second quarter of 2016.
During this time, Acting Inspector Jason Laidman continued his efforts to get to know the citizens of Esquimalt and participating in a myriad of community events and consultations. He has established an excellent working relationship with Mayor Desjardins, Council, and Township staff and is always responsive to the needs of the citizens of Esquimalt.
VicPD continues to make community events in Esquimalt a priority. In this quarter, our officers, Reserves, and volunteers participated in Buccaneer Days, Tim Horton’s Camp Day, McHappy Day, the Seniors’ Lunch, Macaulay Point Graffiti Paint Out, and the Esquimalt Block Party.
VicPD remains committed to delivering the best possible policing service to the citizens of Esquimalt and, under the leadership of Acting Inspector Laidman and his exceptional team, I am confident that we can meet and exceed expectations for the first-rate community policing that the Township expects and deserves.
