Vehicle Break In has VicPD Calling on the Public for Assistance

Victoria, BC – On January 15th, VicPD officers attended to the 900 block of Douglas Street for the report of a theft from vehicle.

When police arrived, it was determined that the owner of the vehicle was in town for the annual Pacific Cup Hockey Tournament and had his hockey equipment stolen from his vehicle. The hockey equipment is valued at $2000.

ARRESTED – Aaron Edward Craig

Victoria, BC –  Aaron Edward Craig, a 28-year-old man who is a convicted sexual offender and who was wanted on an outstanding warrant for breaching his conditions was arrested by WestShore RCMP on Monday, following a tip from the public.

VicPD issued a warning for Craig as we believe he poses a significant risk of harm to young women and girls between the ages of eleven and seventeen.

Search Warrant Reveals Drug Trafficking and Gang Ties

Victoria, BC – An investigation by VicPD’s Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) has led to the arrest of a male suspect with previous convictions for violent crimes and ties to a local gang.

After an extensive investigation, CRU officers, with the assistance of the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant on December 10th for a residence in the 1100-block of Empress Avenue.

VicPD Athletic Association Presents Boys and Girls Senior High School City Basketball Tournament

Victoria BC – The Victoria Police Athletic Association is proud to present the boys and girls Senior High School City Basketball tournament this week at St. Michaels University School.

The senior high basketball tournament features teams from Vancouver Island and the Mainland and are a fantastic showcase of local talent. Numerous games kick off the tournament on Thursday and the final games are on Saturday.

Victoria, BC – VicPD Missing Persons investigators are searching for missing woman Amy MacNeil-Wells

Amy is described as a 35-year-old Caucasian woman standing five feet, five inches tall with a small build. She has green eyes and dark black and dyed blue hair. She is also missing her teeth.

Amy was last seen on December 23rd at approximately 11:00 a.m., in the 900-block of Pandora Avenue.
