Wednesday, March 8, 2017

Victoria, BC – Since the beginning of the year, officers have seen over 28 reported break and enters to secure underground parking.  Officers also believe that there are many more that have not been reported.

Below is a picture of a person of interest in regards to one of the latest break-ins that occurred in the 800-block of Rupert Terrace.  For more information on how to protect your secure underground parking, please visit www.vicpd.ca/CPTED or contact sean.millard@vicpd.ca to set up a security audit based on “crime prevention through environmental design” (“CPTED”) principles.

It is important to remember that if you have been a victim of crime, to report it to VicPD either by phone (250-995-7654) or online (http://vicpd.ca/reportcrimeonline).  When crimes are reported, our analysts are able to track where they have been occurring throughout Victoria and Esquimalt, potentially giving us a piece of information that we are missing in an investigation.

If you know this man or have information on any of these break and enters, please call (250) 995-7654. To report what you know anonymously please call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS).
