Update: ‘Copper’ has been Located

Victoria, BC – After media and social media coverage and some investigation by our officers, Copper will be reunited with his owner today.


Late yesterday, Copper was dropped off at a service provider. The dog was handed over to Animal Control who is working on reuniting the dog with his owner today. Thank you to all the people who called in tips and to the efforts of Victoria Animal Control who all came together to reunite the owner with his dog.  Our investigation continues into who took Copper.

Victoria, BC – Investigators are asking for your help in locating a dog named Copper who was reportedly taken on November 24th.


After being reported to an officer on November 30th, investigators are continuing their investigation into the possible dog theft that occurred in the 900-block of Yates Street between 11:00 a.m. and noon.


The dog, described as a 7 year-old male Chihuahua/Terrier cross, has a small scar above his left eye and had a sore left rear foot.
