Threats Call Leads To Unlicensed Firearm Seizure

Victoria, BC –Patrol officers have seized an unlicensed shotgun after responding to reports that a man had made threats to harm himself and others.

Patrol officers were called to a residence in the 1900-block of Duchess Street on Saturday night after receiving reports that a man had made comments threatening to kill himself and others and was in possession of a shotgun. Patrol officers located the man, and took him into custody for a mental health review. Officers also located a shotgun in the residence that the man did not possess a license for.

The shotgun was seized. No one was injured.
