Victoria, BC – Patrol officers arrested a woman after a stabbing at a multi-unit temporary housing facility late this morning.

Shortly after 11 a.m. this morning Patrol officers were called to a multi-unit temporary housing facility in the 100-block of Gorge Road East for a report that one or more persons had been bear sprayed. Officers attended and located one man who had been sprayed with bear spray and stabbed several times. The victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers identified a female suspect and located her within a suite at that location. The female briefly barricaded herself within the suite, before surrendering to Patrol officers.

Officers transported the woman to cells at VicPD, where she was held to await court.

Detectives with VicPD’s Major Crime Unit are continuing the investigation.
