Victoria, BC – VicPD proudly celebrates the Victoria HarbourCats during their 10th Anniversary season.

On Friday, June 2, Chief Constable Del Manak will be throwing the ceremonial first pitch at the HarbourCats home opener.

“The Victoria HarbourCats are great community partners and we’re happy to help them celebrate a decade of HarbourCats baseball in Victoria. We’re proud that they wear VicPD jerseys for their Forces Friday games, and we are looking forward to another great season of baseball in the city,” says Chief Constable Del Manak

Starting this week and throughout the season, officers will be handing out a limited number of free HarbourCats tickets to members of the community in Victoria and Esquimalt. These tickets are valid for any game throughout the regular season.

“VicPD helps keep our community safe and as neighbours and friends we’re excited that they are joining us for a number of events this season and appreciate their assistance in getting people excited about baseball,” says Managing Partner for the Victoria HarbourCats, Jim Swanson.

VicPD will also be hosting a group of guests from the Aboriginal Coalition To End Homelessness (ACEH) at a HarbourCats game on Wednesday, June 7 thanks to a generous donation of tickets from the team. Events like this highlight the partnership we have with the ACEH and are part of our ongoing relationship building with the Indigenous street-community.

VicPD staff and volunteers will be at the ballpark throughout the season. Look for our booth to learn about our programs and opportunities to volunteer or work with us.
