Victoria, BC – One man is in custody after being arrested by Patrol and K9 officers following a search last night.
Patrol officers were called to the 1000-block area of Haultain Street just after 10 p.m. last night for a report of an assault that had taken place at a residence.
When officers arrived they learned the suspect had fled the scene. Patrol officers flooded the area, set up containment and called in VicPD K9 officers for assistance in searching for the suspect. The victim declined medical treatment.
Officers located the suspect following a brief search. He was taken into custody without further incident and held for morning court.
