UPDATE: Investigators are now able to say that the public is not considered at risk as our investigation continues into a robbery with a firearm that occurred in Esquimalt’s Saxe Point Park on the night of Saturday, April 28th, 2018.

Victoria, BC – VicPD Major Crime Unit Detectives are asking for those with information to come forward.

Officers were called to Saxe Point Park around 8:30pm on Saturday night where they discovered the victim suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. The victim was transported to hospital, treated, and released. Investigators believe this incident, while concerning, to be an isolated one.

Our investigation is continuing and we will share additional information about this file as we are able to. However, we can confirm at this time that no one was shot and that there have been no arrests.
