Police Involved Collision Sends Officer to Hospital

Victoria BC –  An investigation is ongoing as officers investigate a police-involved collision.

On Tuesday, April 10th, shortly before 6:30 p.m., an officer was responding to a domestic assault call. The officer was travelling northbound on Quadra Street with lights and siren. All vehicles had stopped for the police vehicle, but a vehicle travelling westbound on Hillside Avenue struck the police vehicle on the passenger side.  Both occupants of the civilian vehicle were assessed at the scene by ambulance personnel and determined to have no injuries.  The officer was transported to the hospital and was released later last night with non-life threatening injuries.  The investigation is still ongoing.
