Break and Enter Witnessed By Crime Reduction Unit Officers Leads to Arrest

Victoria BC-  Five charges are being recommended against two Esquimalt residents after they were observed breaking into a house in Saanich.

 

On January 11^th, members from our Crime Reduction Unit were conducting a proactive property crime investigation in the area of Craigflower and Tillicum Roads when they observed two suspicious men.

 

The men were followed to a residence in the 200-block of Obed Avenue in Saanich where they broke into a residence.  With the assistance of  Saanich Police Patrol officers and a Saanich Police K9 unit, the two men were taken into custody.

 

Officers are recommending charges of two counts of Break and Enter, 2 counts of Possession of Break in instruments and  one count of Fail to comply with recognizance.
