Suspect Arrested In Robbery That Led To Esquimalt High School Lockdown

Victoria, BC – A suspect has been arrested after a robbery in Esquimalt earlier this week.

On Monday, November 6^th, 2017 shortly before noon, VicPD officers responded to Esquimalt High School for the report of a robbery with a knife. Due to the robbery occurring within a close proximity of the school, the school was placed in “lock down.”

Officers searched the school and confirmed that the suspect was not on the school grounds. Investigators have been working all week to identify and locate the suspect.

This morning, a 16-year-old was taken into custody for one count of robbery.  Investigators would like to thank the public for the assistance they have provided.
