Victoria, BC – VicPD investigators are recommending several charges after a neighbour dispute late Friday afternoon.

 

VicPD patrol officers attended the 400-block of Stannard Ave shortly after 5:00p.m. after receiving the report of a neighbour dispute involving a weapon. When police attended, they negotiated with the man, who had returned to his residence. The man was taken into custody shortly after police attendance without incident.  

 

Through the course of the investigation, it was believed that the man had firearms in the residence. Police applied for a search warrant, which was executed this afternoon. Several firearms were located.

 

Police are recommending several charges including break and enter, assault with a weapon, uttering threats, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. The 66 year old Victoria man remains in custody.
