Victoria, BC – VicPD officers are asking for your help in locating potential suspects to a wire theft that occurred early Tuesday morning.

VicPD officers attended the 1000-block of Craigflower Road to discover that a section of Shaw cable line was damaged after unknown persons stole approximately 20 metres of cable belonging to Telus. An initial review of damage indicates that the cost to replace the line could approach $20,000.

It is likely that the suspects had a ladder and truck as the stolen wire was quite heavy. The theft is believed to have occurred between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m.

If you witnessed any suspicious activity in this area at the approximate time of this theft, please call VicPD at (250) 995-7654.
