Victoria, BC –Investigators from the Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit (VIIMCU,) working in conjunction with the BC Coron‎ers Service, have determined Peter Hunter Thompson’s death was a homicide.

Thompson, a 49-year-old James Bay resident, was found deceased in his apartment in the 400-block of Michigan Street on Wednesday, February 18, 2015.


VIIMCU are looking to speak with anyone who may have seen Peter Hunter Thompson leading up to the discovery of his body on Wednesday, February 18th, 2015.

Investigators are looking to speak with anyone who may have known the deceased.  Investigators are specifically looking to speak to anyone who saw him during the days before police were called.

At this time there is no indication that there is a risk to the public.
