Victoria, BC – Chief Frank Elsner will join Victoria and Esquimalt Police Board Co-Chair and Esquimalt Mayor Barbara Desjardins in welcoming VicPD’s newest constable Trevor Sadownick on Thursday, January 22, 2015.

Cst. Sadownick joins VicPD after 12 years with the Calgary Police Service. He has been a Patrol member and Acting Sergeant, an Acting Detective in the General Investigative Unit, a specialty munitions operator in the Public Safety Unit, a member of the Marine Unit, and a Community Resource Officer.

Cst. Sadownick is most proud for his work as a Community Resource Officer where, in addition to many community initiatives, he worked with Calgary’s homeless veterans to establish dedicated housing for former soldiers. For his efforts, he was awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal.
