Listen: VicPD Investigating Two Suspicious Incidents

Victoria BC – VicPD Detectives are investigating two suspicious incidents that occurred over the last two days involving an elderly man and two separate pre-teen girls.

The first incident occurred at approximately 7 a.m. on Wednesday, September 24th in the 1300-block of Miles Street in Esquimalt when a Caucasian man, described as being in his 60’s, approached a pre-teen girl and was asking her suspicious questions. The girl walked away and was not followed. The incident was reported to police later in the evening on Thursday.

The second incident occurred last night in the 1600-block of Hillside Avenue in Victoria, at approximately 3:15 p.m. A man, fitting the same description as the previous incident, approached another pre-teen girl and asked for help. The girl did not respond and walked away. The incident was reported hours later.

VicPD patrol officers and Detectives have been investigating since the incidents were reported and are looking for any information that can lead to the identification of the suspect.

In both circumstances, the suspect is described as a Caucasian man, approximately 60 to 70-years-old, clean shaven with short white hair and of average build. It is also possible he is associated to an older model, red, 4-door sedan.
