Listen: VicPD Looking for Possible Witness to Robbery

Victoria BC – VicPD officers are investigating a personal robbery that occurred Tuesday night and are hoping to talk to a possible witness who may have been driving by.

Officers were called to the 1300-block of Southgate Avenue at approximately 8:30 p.m. after a woman was robbed of some personal items and cash at that location. The victim stated that she had been followed by a suspicious man who eventually confronted her and demanded she turn over the items. As she did this, a car drove by, and the woman ran towards it.

Unfortunately, the driver of the car did not stop, but the suspect fled as the woman ran towards the car.

Although shaken, the woman was unharmed.

Officers are now hoping to speak to the driver or any passengers in the car as they may be able to help identify the suspect.

The car is described as a being possibly a silver sedan and would have been traveling on Southgate Avenue between Cook and Vancouver streets.
