Victoria BC – Today is National Peacekeepers’ day in Canada, and it is a day to remember all Canadian Peacekeepers who have, or are currently serving in peacekeeping operations throughout the world.
VicPD has been fortunate to have two current officers who have been deployed as United Nations Peacekeepers and are currently serving Victoria and Esquimalt.
Inspector Jamie Pearce, Officer in Charge of VicPD’s Patrol Division and Detective / Constable Jonathan Sheldan of the Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crimes share their stories about peacekeeping, life in Canada, and a career devoted to service both here and abroad.
