Listen: VicPD Detectives Searching For Suspect after Weekend Stabbing

Victoria BC – VicPD Detectives are looking for the suspects responsible for a weekend stabbing on the grounds of Vic High.

Officers were called to the area near the bleachers on the grounds of Vic High at approximately 10:45 p.m. on Friday night for a report of a male who had been stabbed.

The Provincial Ambulance Service and VicPD officers arrived to find the victim, a 19-year-old Victoria man, with a serious but non-life threatening injury caused by the stabbing. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Witnesses stated that they had been sitting on the bleachers when they were accosted by two unknown males. One of the suspects pulled out a knife and waved it at two women there and then stabbed the victim.

The suspects fled towards Gladstone Avenue and Chambers Street.

The main suspect in this investigation is described as being in his early 20’s with dirty blonde hair and freckles or acne on his cheeks. He was described as being approximately 5-foot-8 and having a thin build.

The second suspect is described as also being in his early to mid-20’s with short dark hair and darker skin. He is believed to be between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10 with a medium build.
