File # 14-25695Date: Thursday, June 19, 2014Listen: Investigators Release Vehicle Photo In Search For Slaven BakovljevVictoria, BC – Investigators are asking for the public’s help in locating a vehicle that is associated with missing Victoria man Slaven Bakovljev.Bakovljev was reported missing on Monday, June 16, 2014. He is believed to have been driving a white 2009 Kia Rio sedan with license plate 564 KXN. An image of a similar vehicle is below.“We need people to be on the lookout for this vehicle. Finding the vehicle will greatly increase our chances of finding Slaven,” said Det. Cst. Shauneen Cope.Slaven Bakovljev is a 26-year-old white male. He stands five feet, 10 inches tall, with a slim build, weighing approximately 140lbs. Slaven has short, dark brown hair and a moustache. He was reported to have been carrying a backpack.The efforts to locate Slaven Bakovljev and return him home safely has involved hundreds of volunteers and many police departments, reaching from Northern Vancouver Island to the Lower Mainland. Anyone with information about Slaven Bakovljev’s whereabouts or those of his vehicle are asked to call 911.
