VicPD has adopted a "community first" model of information distribution in which we make information available directly to the citizens whom we serve. To assist with the sharing of information, we have a police officer and a civilian communications coordinator dedicated to public communications in our Community Engagement Division.
We do our best to keep the public and media informed and to offer transparency into the services we provide. We do this keeping in mind the necessity to protect the integrity of certain investigations.
