The Community Resource Officers in Esquimalt regularly attend community events within the Township of Esquimalt and Vic West. Constables Bruschetta and Robirtis have an “open door” policy at their Esquimalt Division office and members of the community are welcome to visit the officers to discuss any issues or concerns they may have, or just to say “hi.” The officers routinely assist the Esquimalt Patrol Division members by investigating complaints that come in over the counter at the Esquimalt Division office. The officers can also be seen “walking the beat” in Esquimalt and patrolling the Esquimalt and Vic West areas on their police mountain bikes.
Csts. Bruschetta and Robirtis work closely with the staff of the Rainbow Kitchen located in the Esquimalt United Church. The officers attend the kitchen on a regular basis and assist the staff with any issues they may have concerning their guests and/or the daily operations of the kitchen. The members also engage with the surrounding neighbours of the Rainbow Kitchen to ensure that their interests and concerns are also heard and addressed.
