Tristan Pakosh graduated from the Reserve Constable program in February of 2018. Tristan joined the Victoria Police Reserve program as he wanted a volunteer position that was diverse in duties and that was related to his career. He currently works in security and has aspirations of advancing in the security field. Volunteerism is important to Tristan and it allows him to learn new skills and gives him a great sense of accomplishment. He has also volunteered with the Camosun College Walk Safer program and at Mount Saint Mary’s hospital.
Victoria, BC – Well over 80 middle and high school students will join 17 teachers and 10 police officers at this year’s Youth for Change and Inclusion (YCI). The camp, which takes place at Camp Pringle on the shores of Shawnigan Lake from May 2nd through May 5th will introduce youth from Victoria, Saanich, Vancouver, Ladysmith and Nanaimo to local, national and global issues. This year marks the 15th year that YCI has taken place with well over 1100 youth having attended the camp over the past 14 years.
