VicPD Officers & Staff To Get “Freezin’ For A Reason” At This Year’s Special Olympics Polar Plunge

Victoria, BC – VicPD officers and staff are joining our policing partners from Oak Bay, Saanich, Central Saanich and the RCMP alongside Greater Victoria area businesses for this year’s Special Olympics Polar Plunge.

The Polar Plunge is a Special Olympics fundraising event that will help send athletes with intellectual disabilities to Special Olympics events. Police officers, business leaders and members of community organizations will brave the frigid waters of the Pacific Ocean on Sunday, March 11th.

Victoria, BC - A man has been arrested for sexual assault as our investigation into a series of incidents on BC Transit busses continues. 

Officers began investigating after a young woman came forward earlier this week reporting an interaction with a man on a BC Transit bus. A report of this incident was also shared online, which prompted several other young women to come forward to share reports of similar incidents.
