Victoria, BC – Picking a Halloween costume can be tricky.
We’re hoping to encourage all girls and boys in Victoria and Esquimalt who haven’t already picked out a costume to consider dressing up as something that strikes fear in the heart of evildoers everywhere and helps keep people safe under darkening skies – a high visibility VicPD police officer.
For the second year in a row, we’re holding a contest for the best dressed #BeSeenHalloween costumed police officer. We were so impressed with last year’s entries that we’re hosting this contest again! The top 3 winners will be invited to VicPD’s main headquarters on Halloween day for a spooky trick-or-treat tour with Chief Manak and a photoshoot with a Patrol Charger and Traffic motorcycle.
The theme of this year’s contest is #BeSeenHalloween. Special consideration will be given to costumes that showcase high visibility.
There are four ways you can enter our 2019 #BeSeenHalloween contest:
1)Take a photo of your young VicPD costumed constable and email it to us here at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please use #BeSeenHalloween in your subject line.
2)Post a photo of your young VicPD costumed constable to Twitter with the hashtag #BeSeenHalloween and tag us at @vicpdcanada. You should follow us there too so we can DM you to get your contact information.
4) Post a photo of your young VicPD costumed constable to Instagram, tag it #BeSeenHalloween and tag us at @VicPDCanada. You can also send us a link to your post Instagram private message.
The contest closes at noon on October 28th, 2019 so we have time to pick our winners.
