Victoria, BC – Investigators are looking to identify and speak with a man after he approached a child in what appears to be suspicious circumstances.

Around 3:15 p.m. today, a 10-year-old boy’s parents’ called police after their son reported that a man unknown to him approached him at the corner of Oscar and Cook Streets and offered to “buy him a pepperoni pizza”. The child was unharmed and fled home where he immediately told his parents what had occurred. Officers are looking to speak with the man to determine the circumstances behind this interaction.

The man that officers are looking to speak with is described as a Caucasian male in his twenties, standing between 5’8” and 5’11” tall with an average to slim build. The man has short black “stubble length” hair and beard and a nose piercing on the right side of his nose. At the time of the incident the man was reportedly wearing a black “DC” hoodie with white writing and dark jeans.

While this man may have not committed an offence, officers are looking to identify and speak with this man to determine his intentions in this interaction.
