There will be lots of kids activities and a, by donation, BBQ by the Esquimalt Lions’.The Block Bash will also highlight Esquimalt Parks and Recreation’s Block Party initiative, which is a program designed to support neighbourhood get-togethers.  The Township of Esquimalt has an event trailer available for rent to assist you in planning your own neighbourhood Block Party.“This event is all about celebrating community. Getting to know your neighbours and being supportive of each other is key to building a vibrant community,” said Esquimalt Mayor Barb Desjardins. “Our officers are proud of the partnerships we have with the citizens of Esquimalt,” said VicPD Chief Constable Frank Elsner. “A party like this is a wonderful way to come together and celebrate our collective achievements.”The party starts at 1 p.m. at the Esquimalt Parks and Recreation building on Fraser Street.DATE: Saturday, May 31st, 2014TIME: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. LOCATION: 527 Fraser Street, Esquimalt, B.C.
