Victoria BC – VicPD Detectives are looking for witnesses to a late-night stabbing that occurred last weekend.

Officers were called to the 1100-block of Wharf Street just after midnight on Sunday for reports of a man who had been stabbed. They arrived to find the 32-year-old Saanich man with a stab wound to his side. Thankfully, staff at Darcy’s Pub were alerted and started first aid.

The victim was transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Through the investigation, detectives learned that the victim spoke to two women on the corner of Wharf and Fort streets after the alleged stabbing. The pair were described as South-Asian women, in their 20’s, and wearing dresses. Detectives would like to speak to these women in hopes that they may shed more light on what occurred.

If you have any information about this crime, or know the two women, please call VicPD on the non-emergency line at 250-995-7654. Information on this, or any crime, can also be reported anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
