Victoria, BC – Investigators are looking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect captured on video in a brazen jewelry store robbery.
On August 27th, 2015, just before 9p.m. officers attended a jewelry business in the 600-block of Fort Street to investigate a Break and Enter in Progress. When officers arrived they discovered that the male suspect had fled after smashing a glass window and entering the business through a small hole. The man was able to flee with jewelry valued at between $8000-$10000.
The investigation revealed that the male had arrived at the building around 3 p.m. that afternoon, left shortly after and then returned, hiding in the building until the actual break-in occurred. The building doors were locked at 6 p.m. that evening.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian man, 35 to 45-years of age, standing approximately 5’10” tall with a very slim build and very grey shaggy hair. He wore a black baseball hat with white trim and a white design on the front, a long sleeve black shirt under a white t-shirt with a design on the front, black pants, and white sneakers with red on the instep. He was carrying a dark backpack with white and grey on it. Security video stills of this man are below:
