UPDATE –VicPD investigators would like to speak to anyone who would have been in or around Highrock Park (Cairn Park) between 7:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. last night. Investigators are specifically looking for information on a white man, in his late 30s or early 40s years with close-cropped hair walking a dark coloured dog and a light coloured dog.

VicPD is issuing a public warning as Special Victims Unit detectives are investigating a report of a sexual assault in Esquimalt last night.
Police attended the area of Cairn Park, also known as Highrock Park, after a report of a sexual assault just after 8:00 p.m. Officers located a woman there who was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
At this time, our investigation is in its preliminary stages. People in the area are asked to report anything suspicious to police. Our investigation continues as we gather further details of the incident.
