Victoria, BC –  Update: At approximately 4:30 p.m., both protestors who were locked to a railing in the bank were arrested without incident. In total, three people were arrested and charges of mischief and unlawful assembly will be recommended to Crown Counsel against them as well as the two people who left the bank voluntarily.

Original Release: VicPD officers are currently at the TD Bank in the 1000-block of Douglas Street after receiving reports of protesters entering the bank.  

Two protestors chained themselves to a railing in the bank and police are currently negotiating with them. Two others left peacefully and one other protestor was arrested without incident.  After initial investigation, it is believed that these protestors are protesting the Dakota pipeline.
