Victoria, BC – VicPD Special Victims Unit detectives are continuing an investigation into allegations of historical sexual abuse after the victim, who is now an adult, came forward to report.

On January 17, 2017, investigators arrested Andre “Andy” Van Goor who is a 75-year-old Central Saanich man. Two charges were approved against the accused.

Mr. Van Goor was employed as the Supervisor of Royal Athletic Park from 1988 until 2003.  It is alleged that the offences in question occurred during the time he worked at Royal Athletic Park.  Detectives are continuing their investigation and believe that there may be more victims or witnesses that they have not spoken with.  Due to a court ordered publication ban, no further details will be released.
