Victoria BC – After positive feedback from our community, tourists and businesses, the VicPD Summer Action Plan launches today.
In an effort to be more visible in the downtown core, VicPD will again deploy its administrative staff to walk the beat over the summer months. In total, there will be 19 administrative staff redeployed during the peak hours of the day to be downtown, visible to businesses, tourists, and the residents of downtown Victoria.
“VicPD is committed to ensuring a vibrant and safe downtown throughout the year,” said Acting Chief Del Manak. “This deployment strategy is one of the ways to ensure that our downtown core remains the commercial and recreational destination of choice for the entire capital regional district.”
The Summer Action Plan will be in place until September.
