Victoria, BC – Harry Charles Sadd faces twenty-three new charges in relation to a series of historical sexual assaults after multiple victims came forward to speak with investigators following the announcement of Sadd’s arrest in August of last year. Sadd was arrested on these new charges yesterday.

In August of last year, the VicPD Special Victims Unit investigators announced they were searching for additional victims after arresting Sadd, a 70-year-old Victoria man, for a series of sexual assaults that took place in the late 1970s and continued for several years. That investigation was started when a victim came forward to report being assaulted.

Since that time, 12 additional victims have come forward. The victims are all men who were between the ages of 9 to 15 at the time the offences occurred.  The investigation has revealed victims going back to the late 1960’s.

Charges include:

 

  •         8 counts of Sexual Assault
  •         6 counts of Being a Male Person Did Indecently Assault Another Male Person
  •         3 counts of Gross Indecency
  •         4 counts of Buggery or Bestiality
  •         2 counts of Assault with Intent to Commit Buggery or Indecent Assault on a Male

 

Harry Sadd is set to appear in court today.
