On November 27th, officers were called to the 800-block of Fort Street for the report of a man and a woman who were allegedly making counterfeit American money.  Officers located the people in a parking lot in the middle of cutting printed counterfeit money.  In total, $1890 of American counterfeit money was located and seized.  Investigators are continuing their investigation and are working with the United States Secret Service.  Several charges are being recommended against the man and the woman which includes making counterfeit money and possession of counterfeit money .

As we enter the busy holiday season, it is important for retailers to take extra care in examining bank notes to make sure that they are not counterfeit.
