Victoria BC- Officers are seeking a suspect after a man was assaulted with a weapon in the 2600-block of Douglas Street just after noon today.
Officers were called to the 2600-block of Douglas Street by the victim who called our 911 Communications Centre. When they arrived, they discovered the victim suffering from non-life-threatening injuries being attended to by bystanders. The incident was originally reported as having occurred in the 2600-block of Ross Lane, but investigators have confirmed it occurred on Douglas Street.
The suspect, described as a man standing five feet, two inches tall, with a medium build, wearing a blue top, brown pants and carrying a red skateboard, fled the area and was last seen in 700-block of Hillside Avenue.
The victim was transported to hospital. The file remains under investigation.
