Victoria BC – Officers are recommending seven charges against two people after a stolen car was seized by officers in Esquimalt.
On August 21st, officers attended the 700-block of Esquimalt Road to check the wellbeing of two individuals that were passed out in a car. Upon our officers attendance, the occupants were asked to step out of the vehicle. The driver then started and reversed the car in an attempt to flee. Another officer used his police vehicle in an attempt to stop the fleeing car. The suspect vehicle then drove at the police car at high speed and attempted to ram the officer. The vehicle stopped just before hitting the officer and fled down a dead end road. The officers were able to box the suspect in and arrest him without incident.
A female, who fled the scene, was arrested a short time later by other officers attending the scene.
Both the vehicle and the license plates on the vehicle were reported stolen out of West Shore.
