Missing Man Dennis Crook. Photo taken January, 1985

Victoria, BC – Efforts to locate missing man Dennis Crook have led to investigators locating a photograph of him from the year he went missing, a family member who is willing to supply DNA, and photographs of his sailboat Beverly Ann.

The photograph of Dennis and the familial DNA, and the information about his sailboat will greatly assist our investigation.

The family member, one of Dennis Crook’s siblings, contacted investigators after learning of our search through media in York, England, and agreed to provide DNA. The family member who came forward is not Lillian Crook, who was identified as Dennis’ only known relative in our initial investigation into his disappearance 32 years ago. The family member has also corrected information in our file. Dennis Crook would now be 68-years old, and not 66 as originally indicated.

Missing Person Investigators are thanking members of the York community, including the news media, North Yorkshire Police, UK Crime Stoppers, those who are sharing our search information on social media, the University of Nottingham Alumni Association, as well as members of our local Victoria community including our news media, Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers and those sharing our search information locally and with relatives overseas on social media for their assistance in our investigation so far. Your efforts are what has progressed our investigation to date.
