Victoria, BC – Tomorrow, May 11th,  marks the 14th anniversary of our search for Belinda Cameron.

The last confirmed sighting of Belinda was at Esquimalt’s Shoppers Drug Mart in the 800-block of Esquimalt Road. Last seen on May 11th, 2005, she was reported missing on June 4th, 2005, nearly a month later. At that time an extensive investigation and series of searches were undertaken.

At the time of her disappearance, Belinda was a 42 year-old Indigenous woman who stood five feet, eight inches tall with a medium to large build, weighing approximately 170 pounds. Belinda had long, dark brown hair that she wore parted in the middle and dark brown eyes.  Two pictures of Belinda are below.

Her daughters are now adults and are seeking to understand their mother’s disappearance.  Our detectives are committed to bringing closure to Belinda’s family and believe that somebody knows what happened to Belinda.

Belinda’s disappearance is considered suspicious and investigators believe that Belinda was the victim of foul play. Her file continues to be investigated as a homicide.

If you have any information on where Belinda Ann Cameron may be, or what may have happened to her, you are asked to call our Historical Case Review Office as 250-995-7390.
