Victoria, BC –  Patrol officers are warning the public and investigating after 10 bikes – and one bicycle trailer – were reported stolen within a 24 hour period.

The bikes were reported stolen from neighbourhoods across Victoria. While there is nothing to indicate that these thefts are linked, officers are reminding bicycle owners to lock their bikes with heavy duty locks, and when possible take them inside. If you keep your bike in your garage, a shed or a storage locker you are asked to please check on it and ensure it is secured.

You can register your bike through our free VicPD bike registry. Any cyclists who ride in Victoria or Esquimalt are welcomed to register their bikes. For more information, please visit vicpd.ca/bike.

Our officers post photographs and descriptions of unregistered recovered bikes on the “Stolen Bicycle Avengers” Facebook group.
