Victoria, BC – Patrol officers arrested one man and recovered stolen property after a break and enter at a temple this morning.
At approximately 7:30 a.m. on April 9th, 2020, Patrol officers were called to a report of a break and enter at a temple in the 1200-block of Topaz Avenue. Officers learned that a man broke into the temple at 4 a.m. and left with a number of religious and ceremonial items. Officers conducted their investigation and obtained a description of the suspect.
At approximately 8 a.m., officers located and arrested the suspect in Centennial Square. Officers recovered all of the items stolen from the temple. Two photographs of the recovered items are below.
A man remains in police custody and is facing recommended charges of break and enter, possession of break in instruments, breach of probation, and weapons possession.
