Witnesses Sought After 15 Windows Damaged In Mischiefs At South Park School

Victoria, BC – VicPD officers are seeking witnesses after a series of mischiefs at South Park School over a three-week period has resulted 15 broken windows and thousands of dollars damage.

On August 6^th, maintenance staff called our non-emergency line to report that several windows at the school, located in the 500-block of Douglas Street, had been damaged by rocks. Similar incidents were reported on August 23^rd and August 30^th. In total, 15 windows have been broken at the school.

The majority of these incidents are occurring during the evening on weekends. Officers are asking for your help as we seek witnesses and information about these incidents. In addition, officers and staff are reaching out to the members of the James Bay Neighbourhood Association and James Bay’s VicPD Block Watch community to remain on the lookout for suspicious persons in the area of the school.
