Victoria, BC – Effective at 5 p.m. today, the front counter of VicPD headquarters at 850 Caledonia Avenue, and the front counter of Esquimalt Division at 500 Park Place, will be closed until further notice.

As part of our efforts to ensure that we are able to maintain operational readiness during the COVID-19 pandemic we are asking members of the public to utilize our non-emergency line, or, where possible, report incidents online.

We have a number of online services available to you including, applying for Police Information Checks, Freedom of Information Requests, Registering Bicycles and Requesting Property Returns.  Please see our website at www.vicpd.ca/services

To Report An Incident or Obtain Front Counter Services

 

  • To report an emergency or a crime in progress, always call 9-1-1.

 

  • Our non-emergency line is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. To report a non-emergency incident, please call 250-995-7654 and select option #1. Please consider calling during non-peak times, such as outside of regular business hours, to avoid long wait times when being transferred through to E-Comm.

 

  • To obtain updates on VicPD services and information, please call our non-emergency line during Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm at 250-995-7654 and select option #8.

 

  • You can help our officers stay healthy and able to respond to 911 calls for service by reporting non-emergency crimes, where you have no suspect information, online here: https://vicpd.ca/services/report-a-crime-online/, or through our free VicPD Connect app on your smartphone. Court-mandated Fingerprinting

Court-mandated fingerprinting will continue to be available on Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 10 a.m. only. If you have court-mandated fingerprinting please come to our front doors, call 250-995-7654 and select option #8. You will be escorted in.

Please notify the staff member if you have flu-like symptoms, have travelled outside of Canada in the last 14 days, or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
