Victoria, BC –Officers are reminding you to not leave presents in your vehicle as thieves continue to target vehicles. This warning comes after a Victoria family lost $1,000 worth of presents left temporarily in their vehicle.

Officers with our Investigations and Support Unit (ISU) are investigating after the victim called to report that overnight on December 9th, presents had been stolen from their vehicle in the 1100-block of View Street. Officers are investigating, but no suspects have been identified.

Holiday Grinches are on the prowl for presents again this year

While COVID-19 has changed how many are shopping this year, VicPD officers are reminding you not to leave presents and packages unattended in your vehicle. The above video is a reminder of just how quickly thieves can spot presents and ruin your holidays.
