Victoria, BC – Investigators are looking for your assistance in identifying both the suspect and a witness in the December 4, 2020 sexual assault of an Esquimalt teen after she departed a bus.

On January 13, 2021, the victim’s family contacted police to report that she had disclosed that she had been sexually assaulted by a man in December. The victim reported that at approximately 4 p.m. on December 4th, 2020, she had departed the Number 15 bus in the 1100-block of Esquimalt Road when she was approached by a man who had followed her off the bus. The man sexually assaulted the teen, who was able to break free and flee. She was not physically injured.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, short in height with a wide build, between 60 and 70-years old, with a comb over. He was wearing glasses, a blazer, shirt and khakis. He was not believed to be wearing a mask.

Shortly after the incident, the victim observed the suspect approach a second woman, who was able to rebuff him. Officers are looking to speak with this woman. She is described as a Caucasian female with blue eyes, glasses, and grey hair. She is known to be a frequent rider of the Number 15 bus.
