Victoria, BC – Officers are seeking witnesses and surveillance video as they investigate multiple reports of mischiefs to vehicles and a multi-unit residential building on lower Cook Street.

21-8234, 21-8231 | Brick, Rock Thrown Through Vehicle Windows

On the morning of Tuesday, March 2nd, officers received two reports of damage to vehicles parked in the 100-block of Cook Street. Two separate callers reported that the passenger windows of their vehicles were smashed sometime overnight. One vehicle was parked in a driveway and was damaged by a brick, and one vehicle was parked on Cook Street and was damaged by a large rock. No property was stolen from either of the vehicles.

21-8222 | Multi-unit Residential Basement Building Flooded

On Tuesday, March 2nd, officers received an additional report that the basement of a multi-unit residential building in the 100-block of Cook Street was intentionally flooded overnight after someone deliberately placed a running outdoor hose in a staircase leading to the basement. The outer drains of the building were also clogged by paper.

Investigators are asking those who experienced similar incidents in the area of the 100-block of Cook Street to report those incidents to VicPD.
