Victoria, BC – Patrol officers are investigating after a stabbing Saturday morning sent a man to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Patrol officers were called to a parking lot near Yates and Broad streets just before 9:45 a.m. on Saturday morning for a report that a man had been stabbed. A passerby called 911 after a man, who was laying on the ground, called out for help and told those coming to his assistance that he had been stabbed.

BC Emergency Health Services paramedics were already on scene when officers arrived. They spoke with witnesses and the victim, and two officers went with the victim to hospital. During the course of the investigation, officers learned that the victim had been stabbed by two men. Evidence was gathered from the scene and a knife was seized. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released.

This incident remains under investigation. No arrests have been made.
