Victoria, BC – The results are in, the analysis complete, and our 2021 VicPD Community Survey results are now available.

As in previous years, all the survey results and associated materials are posted on the OpenVicPD portal on our website at https://vicpd.ca/open-vicpd/community-survey/. The results, as well as trends from our 2014, 2017, 2020 and the 2021 community surveys, are presented in an online video which is available on the site.

The 2021 Community Survey is the first of the new annual survey cycle. The annual cycle allows us to better track trends and the needs of our community in alignment with our Strategic Plan.  We also display key community survey results in our VicPD Community Dashboard and our quarterly Community Safety Report Cards, all of which can be viewed at our OpenVicPD information hub.  This means that the VicPD Community Survey will be back again next year. The 2014, 2017 and 2020 Community Surveys were completed on a three-year cycle.

“I want to thank all of the residents and businesses in Victoria and Esquimalt who took the time to participate in the 2021 VicPD Community Survey,” said Chief Constable Del Manak. “Now delivered annually, this survey remains a cornerstone of our engagement efforts, allowing us to measure the public’s perception of community safety while highlighting how VicPD is doing as your police service.”

We always welcome your feedback and will be glad to receive any questions or comments you may have about our community survey by email at [email protected].
