Victoria, BC – VicPD’s lobby areas and front counter services will be re-opened to the public in both Victoria and Esquimalt on Tuesday, February 22nd.
Our lobby areas and front counter services at both our 850 Caledonia Avenue and 500 Park Place Esquimalt Division locations were closed due to COVID-19 restrictions. They are now re-opening to the public.
Our new hours of operation will be:
850 Caledonia Avenue Hours of Operation
8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
500 Park Place Hours of Operation
8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Many services were moved online during the COVID-19 pandemic closures. These online service options will continue to be offered.
- The VicPD Report Desk non-emergency line is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. To report a non-emergency incident, please call 250-995-7654 and select option #1. Please consider calling during non-peak times, such as outside of regular business hours, to avoid long wait times.
- To obtain updates on VicPD services and information, please call our non-emergency line Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 250-995-7654 and select option #8.
- You can report theft, mischief, and attempted break and enter incidents where you have no suspect information, as well as traffic incidents, online here: https://vicpd.ca/services/report-a-crime-online/.
- Vulnerable sector police information checks also remain available online. Visit https://vicpd.ca/services/police-information-checks/ for more information and to apply for a vulnerable sector police information check. You will be contacted in the event that fingerprints are required for your vulnerable sector police information check. These fingerprints will be conducted on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. by appointment only.
Court-mandated fingerprinting remains available on Wednesday mornings from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. only.
Staying COVID-19 safe
In keeping with B.C. provincial guidelines, wearing a mask is required in our lobby. Please do not attend our lobby areas if you have COVID-19 symptoms, have been confirmed to have COVID-19, or have been directed to self-isolate.
